The film was screened at the Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival, and was named a semifinalist at the Stockholm Short Festival.

Palindrome is an etude-like electroacoustic miniature composition. It plays with reorganizing, condensing, reflecting sounding fragments, and acknowledging the porous material that fills the space before taking and losing its shape.

Compositions for Siska Lappi-Takala’s video work Life as an Ice Butterfly – justification of existence. Life as an Ice Butterfly is a poetic reflection on the fragile balance between humanity and nature — a balance now threatened by climate change, melting ice, and the silent disappearance of clean water.
Through compassion, impermanence, and reverence for the natural world, the work evokes a world where nature holds the final word, and our existence is but a breath within its greater rhythm.

The film was selected as a semifinalist at both the Tokyo Women Film Festival and the Paris International Short Festival.

Élevé’s soundscape is constructed from processed human voices, violins, and low, continuous hums extracted from field recordings. The work begins in near silence, allowing small details such as breathing, resonance, and texture to gradually emerge.

As the choreography remains restrained and almost still, the music creates a quiet yet tense atmosphere—one of suspension, balance, and subtle reaching. Layers of soft noise and elongated tones form a static sonic field that never fully settles, gently shifting its weight like a body finding equilibrium.

The result is a delicate, spacious sound world that supports the work’s minimal movement and amplifies its sense of quiet attention and stillness.
