Hevonen

Hevonen (2023–) is a trio at the intersection of electroacoustic improvisation and experimental folk, formed by Timo Viialainen (electroacoustic hurdy-gurdy), Jean-Michel Kampara (twelve-string guitar), and Emmi Kaasalainen(violin). Improvisation is central: each performance brings forth its own sonic creature shaped by the trio’s attentive listening, tactile interplay, and instinctive approach to sound. Rather than a fixed ensemble, Hevonen is a living sonic animal that emerges, transforms, and disappears, leaving traces of something both ancient and entirely new.
